I'm working on five winter scenes from last February. The paintings began with just ivory black and titanium white, or gray scale. My reference was a grey scale printout from Kinkos with a grid created in Photoshop. This process worked well to establish the drawing and values. I did some scraping, some glazing, and final tweaks and am happy with the minimal palette. My intention was to move the eye around with the values.
I've started working at Art Attack, Burlingame, thanks to Ellen Howard and Nancy Torres. I am enjoying working with children, teenagers and adults.
I do feel blessed that I have had a year to explore being a painter. Being home based has its pluses and minuses, but it's all a learning curve. Blessings to you!
